Co-contribution promise
With an emphasis on shared environmental responsibility,
Summerrolls will match your contribution dollar-by-dollar.

Why offset your carbon?
Your co-contribution to the purchase of a carbon offset helps negate the carbon released into the atmosphere by avoiding the release or removing it elsewhere through a renewable energy or energy conservation project.
Our
partner
Summerrolls is working in partnership with Eco-Asia, an Australian supplier of "eco-Asia" carbon credits generated by environmental projects in developing countries.
Our carbon credit source
Eco-Asia's carbon credits are currently being sourced from Geres, an award-winning French-Cambodian non-profit organisation working with poor communities in Cambodia.
As well as promoting tree planting and other environmentally validated project, Geres generates its credits from developing a fuel saving clay stove that uses 30 per cent less charcoal than traditional stoves. Geres's carbon credits are audited according to the Voluntary Carbon Standard.
Helping poor communities
At Summerrolls we believe that poverty and the
health of the environment are interrelated. That
is why we have selected Eco-Asia as our preferred
supplier of carbon credits, as it has a strong
commitment to giving poor countries a fair go.
Part of your co-contribution will go towards development projects and young leadership training in Cambodia and other parts of South East Asia.
Our assumptions
Summerrolls' calculations are based on estimated
average annual carbon emitted by a food outlet
of our size (our carbon emissions have not been
audited) divided by the average number of product
sales in the previous year.
How to offset your carbon
Just tell one of our friendly staff that you
wish to purchase a carbon offset when purchasing
food items from our store.
